CAMPING GROUNDS

Park your campervan in one of the numerous camp grounds throughout the country and enjoy the lovely scenery that surrounds most camp grounds. Many camps open on to beaches, tidal inlets, rivers, lakes or some are deep in the heart of native forests. You will love the evening swims in the mineral hot pools as part of some camping ground complexes. Great for family fun, or just relaxing.

All facilities have to be maintained to a very high hygiene standard. Friendly management will always stop and chat about the surrounding district, or show you their facilities. These always include kitchens, showers, toilets, laundries, cabins and power connections for campervans. Waste water facilities are available in most of the complexes.

It is possible to "freedom camp" throughout New Zealand, and our motorhome is designed to allow this throughout the year with the provision of gas heating and hot water system.

There are numerous magical spots nearby to lakes, streams and beach frontage which can be best enjoyed by freedom campers. Fisherman wanting to keep their favourite spot and those looking for peace and tranquility love to take advantage of the opportunity to overnight camp independent of a campground facility.

Also there are a series of Department of Conservation (DOC) camps in remote areas that provide beautiful camp settings but these may not provide shower, toilet or kitchen facilities. Dept of Conservation, NZ
